A Brand?
Brands are a lot like people. They’ve got personalities. And we, as customers, decide whether or not we want to be in their company based on their personality. We fall in love with people because of the absolute characters that make them unique
So why should brands be any different? As a business owner, or perhaps somebody who is interested in starting a business, you probably have thought of that question already. Before you get the business off the ground, everybody is telling you how important it is to build a ‘brand’ and have an identity… but what does this all mean? Is there a difference between brand and brand identity?
More than just a product or a service, customers look to develop a connection with companies. Have you ever heard somebody speak so defensively about a brand or product? Try telling Pepsi drinkers that there’s a better option just across the street
The very best companies can convince customers to believe in their company just as much as the owners and managers because of the magnitude of their brand and their strong brand identity. Building a bit of creative tension into your brand gives consumers something to fall for, and it offers rich opportunities for brand loyalty and customer satisfaction.

As much as building a brand sounds easy, building a brand online is a different task from traditional brand building. Of course, it won’t hurt to combine the offline and online marketing techniques, and indeed for best results, you should do that.
Too many times clients think that all they need to do is have a website, an Instagram page made for them and then they can sit back and count the money as millions of visitors arrive at their site and social media pages however the story is different, its a hustle of its own.
Building a successful online presence with zero promotion is close to impossible. The only way you can really do it is by creating something so completely amazing that it markets itself just by being accidentally discovered but the chances of that happening are small
You must promote your site in some way. It does not necessarily mean that you have to spend money, but you have to do something to create a connection and engagement with your customers through tagging, and well structuring your content. Just building a social media page does not ensure success

At all times, it’s important to be true to your brand identity because it will help customers connect with you. As well as your logo, and social posts with your personality in mind. If you apply this, it won’t be long before you have a following that feels as passionately about your products/services as you do.
Don’t waste your time on something small. Whatever you’re going to do, make it big. Make an impact. Building a brand and surviving through the digital space should be taken as seriously as your normal 9-5 job.
“ if you are not paying for something then you are actually the product”. As business owners we most definitely do not want to be a customer of someone else’s brand, so put in the work!
