Who else can build your brand like you can? DO IT YOURSELF is the first DIY series workshop hosted by HEBO Consult  On the 27th of November 2020, at Ramada Beach Resort, Mbezi Beach. The workshop theme was Brand building with the main objective of helping the Business executives, managers, and the like to understand the role of a Brand in a Business and why a Brand should stand out in a competitive market

Highlights of the workshop

The Workshop was led by Mr. Martin Hekeno and Moderated by Mr. Lee David for 3 hours. At 5 pm Sharp, the event kicked off with some registration, entertaining music, and networking

The first part of the workshop covered a detailed introduction to what a brand is, numerous terms used and associated with the word Brand, and vibrant real-life examples of powerful brands in the world. To make it interactive, the workshop was accompanied by Do It Yourself exercises, covering Brand core values and Elements related to a Brand.

The second part of the Workshop covers the overall role of a Brand in a business. Why a brand has to stand out so that a consumer thinks, feels, and acts differently about your brand, together with Brand positioning. Martin strictly insisted on how the power of a Brand can both positively and negatively influences a consumer’s choice it must be taken seriously. This was especially useful knowledge for most of the merging business owners.

Since the Do It Yourself workshop focused on do it yourself, the third session was the starting point towards building your brand. It covered the purpose, the vision, and the mission. This session was interactively associated with questions, exercises, laughter, and testimonials from real-life experiences from the audience. The exercises were for some businesses the first time to ever conduct, helped them look inward.

The last part of the Do It Yourself workshop covered the key values, Brand personalities, and Nailing down target audiences concerning your brand together with the Brand positioning statement. Martin also explained how a brand could change a customer’s perspective from being different to finally loving the Brand via the Brand Love Curve

The workshop ended with a few exercises, handouts, and a strong introduction and networking from the HEBO team.
