Located in the heartland of Tanzania, Dodoma is the nation’s official political capital and the seat of government in the country. Comparably, it is much smaller and less developed than the country’s commercial Centre, Dar es Salaam.
Dodoma the recently renowned capital city has experienced exponential growth in the past 2 – 3 years. New companies and brands have been established covering all industrial areas from retail, wholesale, and customer service orientation.

With the ongoing pandemic many, companies failed to survive and adapt to the current ongoing changes in the world functioning. Some never surpassed a year and some still struggle from the wounds and losses experienced in the COVID 19 Era.
On the 22ND April 2021, HEBO Consult led by Mr. Martin Hekeno the Director of Consulting partnered with CEED to conduct a one-day 4-hour training session based on entrepreneurship empowerment and brand growth in Dodoma.
The workshop was themed on the Brand building; marketing, the essence of the brand, and how can the participants navigate the digital landscape with the current ongoing pandemic.
With an attendance of 15 people from different career fields; featuring specialists from construction, advertising, agribusiness, auto mechanic, and nutrition. The participants were united with a common question of whether their brands can survive and sustain with the current challenges and if there are any opportunities for growth
The candidates had a chance to express their own personal experiences with regard to their brands in their industry. This was associated with hands-on exercises, case study reviews, and practical examples of ongoing brand accomplishments. It’s quite interesting how most candidates never took into consideration the magnitude and impacts of brands on the market; indeed it was eye-opening!
A key question to ask yourself, Does your brand have the right tools to ensure flexibility with the ongoing changes in the world to the so-called new normal?
